RoboDesigner Sales Terms
Compulab offers a service and tool for efficiently designing and manufacturing prototypes of custom boards containing a computer module and peripherals. Although maximum effort is made to provide a clean design, it is still possible that initial prototypes will have certain functional or mechanical issues. Compulab will assume responsibility for fixing these, as mentioned in the design warranty below.
Prototype Design Warranty
Prototypes of custom hardware developed and manufactured by Compulab or using its tools will operate according to stated specifications, in terms of hardware functionality and mechanical design.
Reliability Warranty
Hardware will be free of significant defects in workmanship and material for a period of one year from the date of shipment. Warranty is void if the product has been altered or damaged.
Manufacturing Expedition
If prototype is ordered with manufacturing expedition, Compulab will make reasonable effort to accelerate the process, by prioritising and skipping over the production pipeline. We cannot guarantee that expedition will be achieved.
Limitation of Warranty for Additional Prototypes
User should exercise caution when ordering additional boards before testing completion. It is strongly advised that user will first order minimal quantity (namely 2) of custom board prototypes, test and approve them, and only then will order any additional quantity as necessary. If additional boards are ordered before prototype approval, said additional boards would not be covered by design warranty.
Limitation on Liability
Your sole remedy and Compulab’s sole liability shall be for Compulab, at its sole discretion, to either repair or replace the defective product at no charge or to refund the purchase price. Shipment costs in both directions are the responsibility of the customer.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL COMPULAB BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS, DAMAGE OR EXPENSE SUFFERED OR INCURRED WITH RESPECT TO ANY DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. IN NO EVENT SHALL COMPULAB BE LIABLE FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFIT OR LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY) THAT YOU MAY SUFFER DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY FROM USE OF ANY PRODUCT.
